1. Overview and scope

Eurth ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Eurth mobile application and website at eurth.ca (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. Eurth is operated from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your information in Canada.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, or financial information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never receive or store your payment card details. We do not collect biometric data.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide the Service — authenticate your account, store your stack, deliver reminders, display your history.
  • To personalize your experience — show cohort-relevant content and milestone copy based on your streak.
  • To communicate with you — send push notifications you have opted into. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
  • To improve the Service — analyze usage patterns to understand what features work well.
  • To ensure security — detect and respond to suspicious activity or abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations — retain records as required by applicable law.

We do not use your health or wellness data for advertising. Your supplement and medication data is used only to power your personal tracking experience. It is never used to serve ads or shared with advertisers.

4. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Business transfers

If Eurth is acquired or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Prescription label scanning

Important: The prescription scanning feature is a convenience tool for adding medications to your personal tracking routine only. It is not a medical records system, pharmacy management tool, or clinical application.

When you use the prescription label scanning feature:

  • Your device camera captures an image of the label.
  • The image is transmitted securely to Anthropic's API for optical character recognition (OCR) processing.
  • The image is not stored by Eurth or Anthropic after the request completes. No copy of your prescription image is retained.
  • The OCR result pre-fills a confirmation form on your device.
  • You review and may edit all extracted information before it is added to your stack.
  • Raw OCR text is never displayed — only structured fields that you confirm.

Eurth does not interpret, analyze, or make recommendations about your medications. Any extracted information should be verified against the original prescription and your healthcare provider's instructions. Manual entry is always available as an alternative to scanning.

6. Data retention

We retain your account information and app data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law. Prescription scan images are never stored — discarded immediately after OCR processing completes.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, secure hashed authentication, and access controls. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@eurth.ca.

8. Your rights and choices

Access and correction

You may access and update your profile information at any time within the app. To request a copy of all personal data we hold, contact hello@eurth.ca.

Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data from within the app or by contacting us. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Notifications

You may enable or disable push notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app.

Canadian and California residents

If you are a resident of Canada, you have rights under PIPEDA including the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the CCPA. Contact hello@eurth.ca to exercise any of these rights.

9. Children's privacy

The Eurth Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The caregiver tracking feature allows users to track supplements for a child without requiring the child to create an account — all such data is associated with the parent or guardian's account only. If you believe your child has provided us personal information, contact hello@eurth.ca and we will promptly delete it.

10. Medical disclaimer

Eurth is not a medical device, medical application, or healthcare provider. The Service is a personal habit tracking tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

The information you enter into Eurth is not reviewed, validated, or verified by any healthcare professional. Eurth does not check for drug interactions, contraindications, or medical appropriateness of any supplement or medication. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any regimen.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice within the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
